galley. She is equipped with tournament ready tackle, all USCG required safety
equipment and state of the art electronics and fish finding equipment. With a 26-knot cruise and capabilities of going
60-70 miles offshore, you will enjoy the maximum amount of fishing time off North Carolina’s coast.
Since January 2006, the ChainLink has been under the watchful eye of Captain Ralph Griffin of Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
A lifelong fisherman, Griffin’s first offshore fishing trip was at six years old. He first served as a charter boat captain during
a season in Brazil, where he showed his passengers prime spots for blue marlin fishing. Soon, Captain Griffin headed to Cape
Hatteras, North Carolina, where he served as captain of a private boat for five years. With a growing family, Griffin decided
it was time to settle down and found a home with ChainLink in Beaufort, North Carolina.
It didn’t take long for Captain Griffin to leave his mark on the local fishing community. In his short time of overseeing
the boat, Captain Griffin led the crew to victory by winning the 2006 Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament in Morehead City,
North Carolina. With plans of competing again next year, Captain Griffin and the ChainLink crew will also compete in the
Ducks Unlimited Tournament in Morehead City, NC and other regional fishing competitions. As for the days in between, he
continues to take patrons into the Carolina coast, showing them more than just the best spots for white and blue marlin,
but also give them a day of fun, relaxation and luxury aboard the Chainlink.
